Thursday May 5th- Standing Stone Book Competition at Huntingdon Area Middle School. We have 3 teams, 9 students in all, representing MUASD! Good luck to all of you and make sure you have your 15 books read! Students will be picked up around 8:20 AM and will return around 1-1:30 PM. Students may pack their own lunch or bring money to buy food at McDonalds's in Huntingdon. Friday May 6th- Graduation Project Symposium at MUAHS. Tuesday May 10th- TIU11 Math 24 Tournament at Juniata College. We have 11 students in grades 4-6 representing our district! Best of luck to you! Keep practicing your cards! Following the tournament, we will be having lunch at the Juniata College dining room. The cost is $8.95 per person and it is all you can eat with several different types of food, drinks, salad bar, dessert, and ice cream all included. Students can also pack their own lunch. We will be leaving around 8:10 AM and returning around 1:30 PM. Wednesday May 11th- Career Exploration Trip to the Altoona Curve Game in Altoona, PA (for Jr and Sr High students). At 8:30 AM we will be doing a tour of the facilities and meeting with several employees in various fields of work to become familiar with what their responsibility is within the Altoona Curve organization. The baseball game will be at 10:00 AM. We will be back by 2:30 PM. Please bring $10 for your ticket and any more for foods/drinks. Permission slips are due to Mrs. Young by Friday May 6th. Thursday May 12th- Elementary gifted students trip to Pittsburgh, PA to tour Inventionland, visit the Carnegie Science Center, and to conduct experiments at the Skyzone Trampoline Park. We will be departing MUAHS at 7:00 AM and be returning back to MUAHS around 9:00 PM. More detailed information on the day, deadlines, payments, etc. has been sent home with students. Can't wait!! :-D
